About The Author

Katie Aguilera is an author and researcher currently working on her first novel. She blogs independently here at Seeking Redress, and has published articles at Newsbud.com and Vietnam Full Disclosure. She is fiercely opposed to the wars of aggression the United States has launched around the globe after September 11, 2001.  After years of quiet research and work on her novel, she realized she could no longer remain silent.

Katie has had a love for creative writing since she could hold a pencil.  Believing her words to be her greatest strength in the struggle for peace, she decided to begin this blog.  She enjoys pursuing and learning about new topics, and writes about a variety of them along the way.

Katie studied Outdoor Recreation Leadership and spent several years working with troubled youth both in a residential setting and in the wilderness. She also worked for many years as a river guide, and is always happiest on water with a paddle in her hand.  Katie lives in Bend, Oregon.

Katie plans to publish her debut novel early in 2017.  You can keep up with her here, on Twitter @seekingredress, and on Facebook.
