Katie Aguilera is an author and researcher currently working on her first novel, The Compass Code. She blogs independently here at Seeking Redress, primarily about war, human rights, and politics. She is fiercely opposed to the wars of aggression the United States has launched around the globe after September 11, 2001.

Katie has had a love for creative writing since she could hold a pencil.  She enjoys pursuing and learning about new topics, and writes about a variety of them along the way.

Katie studied Outdoor Recreation Leadership and spent several years working with troubled youth both in a residential setting and in the wilderness. She also worked for many years as a river guide, and is always happiest on water with a paddle in her hand.  Katie lives in Bend, Oregon.
