A year ago today, I nervously sent my words out into the world for others to read. I hadn’t intended to start blogging, at least not until I was closer to completing and publishing my novel. But, somehow, all of my pent-up frustration with the direction I see this country, and this world, going, came crashing out of me as I was desperately trying to increase my word count for NaNoWriMo last year. I wrote the post, “Are You My Hero?,” and decided I could no longer put off starting a blog.
I hit the publish button for the first time on November 10, 2015, before I had even really finished setting up my site. It was a terrifying moment. Surprisingly, the panic I feel each time I hit that publish button has not really lessened after a year. Plenty of other things have changed, but not that.
In honor of the one-year anniversary of Seeking Redress, I have decided to re-publish my favorite post from this past year. While it was not the most viewed or shared post, it is still the one that means the most to me. So, please check back tomorrow, for my favorite post of the year at Seeking Redress. I also want to thank my regular readers, you all give me so much hope. Here is to another year of positive changes!
